My first 10 steps!

I took off walking when I saw the doggy on Thursday night. Dada wasn't ready.for me to take off like that. He said I was very amibitious! I like to walk... so when I saw Mommy come home from the grocery store I decided to surprise her too! I started walking to her by taking 4 steps...balanced...took 6 more steps and stopped! ALL ON MY OWN!!! She was really excited and shocked. We were all smiling and very excited!

9 months old!

I am officially 9 months old now and I went to the doctor for my checkup. I weigh 15lbs 12 oz and I am 261/2 inches long. I am still a tiny little girl, but I will try to catch up with the rest of them soon!

Dada & Me..

It's been awhile...

It's been a little bit since I shared what was happening with me lately, so I wanted to catch up!
Here's the run down:

1: I am officially 8 months old now.
2: I just cut my 2nd tooth yesterday.
3: I am scooting around on my butt, getting on my hands & knees to crawl and rock. I also love to stand and walk around furniture on my own..mommy & daddy are VERY close by!
4: I am saying "Mama" & "Dada" with great persistence!
5: I officially throw tantrums when my toys are taken away.
6: I am eating yummy graham crackers for the first time.
7: My blocked tear duct is finally cleared, so I don't have to have surgery anymore! Yeah!!
8: I love to laugh and scream at the doggies.
9: I am eating "small" amounts of stage 2 meats.
10: I really love to go grocery shopping and sit in the shopping cart up front with mommy pushing me! It is fun to shop!

The tooth fairy is here!

I officially have my first tooth! I have been super slobbery and wet, really fussy, and putting everything in my mouth. Mommy says when it is totally big enough to see she will take a picture of it for everyone to see. Yeah...at least I have something to show for all my pain and fussiness.

eye doctor

well, today I went to my doctor because my eye is still hurting and bothering me. I have something called a blocked tear duct and I have had it since I was born, so now I have to see someone special. Tomorrow I go see a man that does something called "surgery" on little babies eyes like me. I am a little scared but I hope to feel better soon.

Packing..

I am not too sure what mommy is doing, but she calls it "pack-ing". We are leaving for Alabama tomorrow & she is trying to get my clothes clean to "pack". I sure do have to take a lot of stuff with me. I tell mommy that she is not taking enough of my things, so I have to be there to tell her to make sure and bring my favorite toys & stuff. I am looking forward to seeing everyone on daddy's side of the family. It will be a busy week so I may not get to share my story till I come home. xoxo

6 Months Old!

I am 6 months old now & I went to see the man that makes me feel better when I am sick for my checkup. He said I weigh 14 lbs and I am 24 1/2 inches long! I was a "BIG" girl & was very happy until I had to have 2 shots and yucky stuff in my mouth. I am able to eat new foods, so I am very happy about that. I love to eat!

Here I am with my favorite toy! I just love the music it plays.

I love smiling at everyone around me, but Mommy knows I am happiest outside! I was listening to the birdies and touching the grass...I'm definately a nature baby!

Mommy made me get undressed for this picture because she really wanted a picture of my bottom with me sitting. I don't really know why, but she REALLY liked this picture. She says my hand is held exactly like a ballet dancer and I am looking over it just like a ballerina does!

My 1st word...

Mommy is SOOO excited because I started saying my 1st word yesterday & it is "Momma". I say it like this..mummmma! I love to say it. I don't really know what it means yet but I can't stop saying it. It is all I say now! I love my voice. I even cry and say Momma. My mommy says it melts her heart everytime I say it!

Reminiscing...

Mommy is remembering how cute and tiny I was when I was just born. She heard a brand new baby cry tonight at dinner & it made her think of me little again. Mommy loves how cute I look, but I was just really tired from my long journey! I am almost 2 days old! I left the hospital in this on December 2nd, 2008!

Can't get enough!

I guess I must be growing because I just can't stop eating! I am eating every 2 to 3 hours and I have been eating whole jars of my baby food plus milk! I have never eaten so much!!!! Yummy....what's next!?!

I love my Chyna!

Sorry...

Sorry I haven't posted much on here lately but I was really sick with Mommy all last week. I am still getting over my yuckies, but I feel a lot better. Now I can ask mommy for help with my story again!

Eastern Star!

Mommy became an Eastern Star last night! She was very excited all day that she was going to be one. She is keeping up with the traditions in her family and that makes her happy. Maybe one day I will want to be one too...for now I am happy playing with my frogs!

Sitting all by myself!

Hi Everyone, it's me again. Mommy wanted me to tell you that I started sitting up all on my own on Thursday, May 7th! I was 22 weeks old, now I'm 23 weeks old...but whose counting!?! I am getting to be a big girl, almost 6 months old soon. Mommy and daddy are so proud of me! Mommy laughs at me because I hold both of my arms out straight at my sides for balance. She says she will get a picture soon!

Graduation day!!

Here I am with my whole family (except mommy...she was sick) at my Aunt Jessica's college graduation. I had fun looking around at all the people, but I didn't like the loud noises, "blowhorns" as daddy calls them. They made me cry because I was scared. Congratulations Aunt Jess!

Runnin' free...

I went with mommy and Nana to the running store today! I had fun and mommy was super excited to get new running shoes! She is going to go for a nice run tonight when daddy gets home! Yeah for Mommy!!

Just not feeling good!

Well, mommy & daddy seem to think I am still sick because I woke up really hoarse this morning. Whatever that means. My voice does sound funny, so I have just been really, REALLY quiet today. I have also been sleeping alot. Just not my fun self. Mommy thinks I may have allergies, but if I am not better on Monday, I may have to go to the doctor. Whoa's me!

Veggies VS Fruits!

I just love my carrots but I don't really like my fruits! Everyone keeps telling mommy that I should like fruits over veggies, but I just keep gagging on the sweeter stuff! I really love my veggies though...sweetpotatoes are still my favorite so far!

I am better!

I just wanted to let everyone know I am feeling better. I have a slight cough but nothing to worry about. I have had a busy day helping mommy clean around the house. We also made a nice potroast for dinner for daddy. I hope he likes it!

Sleepy Day

I was really tired today & I have had a cough and runny nose. All I wanted to do was snuggle & sleep with mommy. She made me feel better. I also tried to sweet talk her so I didn't have to have my bananas, but she & daddy said I had to finish what was left. I still don't like them! I fought daddy the entire time he fed them to me! I hope my apples are better tomorrow than this yucky stuff!

Yuck! Banana's!

I don't think I like this fruit thing. I prefer my veggies. Tonight was my first night to try fruit & I tried to tell Mommy & Daddy that I didn't like my bananas by spitting them out, grimacing, and gagging! I prefer peas over nanners. Mommy said I should like bananas better than veggies, but Daddy says "every baby is different". I hope I can have sweetpotatoes tomorrow instead! I will have to sweet talk Mommy.

Whoa...where did they go?

I was playing in my bouncer & the next thing I knew my Mommy & Daddy were gone! Nonnie was there & she said they went to have a "date night". They saw a concert so Nonnie played with me instead! I had fun! Here I am sitting pretty for my Nonnie. She fed me, bathed me, laughed with me, and then we slept! Thanks Nonnie..Hugs and wet kisses!

WHEEE..I'm walking

I decided I wanted to surprise my parents by walking last night! I learned how to put one foot in front of the other to move & Daddy held me so I wouldn't fall! I did it all by myself! I guess they call this "walking". Mommy & Daddy were sooo excited. They have been saying I would probably walk before I crawl because I LOVE to stand and jump! Have fun watching me move and dance across my kitchen table! Mommy says my little feet are SOOO cute!

Relaxing with my "Ugly" Dolls

After a long days work planting flowers with Mommy, I decided to take a nice break and relax in my room with my "Ugly" dolls. I love talking to my "Ugly" friends. I just giggle and stare at them. They are really good listeners! Mommy & Daddy like them too! They said the word "Ugly" means unique...just like me!

Work & Play...

Mommy & I are going to see Daddy at work today..he is the IT manager at News Channel9. I don't really know what that means but I get to see lots of pretty colors on the computers & all sorts of people say "hi" to me and play with me!

Sweetpotatoes...hurry up Daddy!

I got to have sweetpotatoes tonight for the first time! I LOVED them! I actually had 2 servings! One was warm & one was cold. I loved them both. I actually got mad at Daddy when he wasn't putting it in my mouth fast enough! I couldn't stop myself! Mommy says it is better to like sweetpotatoes than something called....chalk-o-late...whatever that is!

Future ballet dancer?

Mommy wanted me to share these pictures with you since she was a ballet dancer. Daddy took these pictures of me at just 2 weeks old on Mommy's tutu! She and I love to dance around the house together. I guess you could say I am already a ballet dancer!

FROGGIES, Froggies, froggies

Yeahhhhh...I have froggy jammies now. Thank you Mommy & Daddy!I am so excited! I love to look at the froggy on my jammie and touch it because it is super soft and fluffy!Did I mention I love FROGGIES..can't stop starring at them! (P.S.~ Sorry about my red eyes in the picture. I need to ask Daddy how to get it off)

The Green Bean Monster!

Eating my first veggie...green beans! It tastes really strange, not sweet like my mommy's milk, but I can't stop opening my mouth for more! Mommy handmade my green bean baby food so she is extra proud! I told mommy & daddy we should put it on video so I can see it later when I am older. I also wanted the rest of my family to see it too since they couldn't all be here to see me eat my green beans for the first time! I really like my greens! What's next Mom?

Shopping with Daddy-Paw!

I am showing Daddy-Paw how tall I can stand in the palm of his hands! He says I am really strong. I just keep getting bigger and bigger each day. You just wait!

Daddy-Paw and I liked making funny faces when we were shopping tonight! See..I am learning how to stick my tongue out and he is being goofy with me! Your SOOO much fun Daddy-Paw!

"little piggy"

Daddy calls me his "little piggy" because I gained 14 oz in one week. I guess I was feeling much better when I had my bubblegum medicine to help my ears!Now I don't have pain when I try to eat. I weigh 12lbs 14 oz's now! I am growing up!

Daddy+Cora =Cuddle time

I got to cuddle with Daddy this morning before he had to go to work. I wish he didn't have to go to work so we could cuddle and play more, but Daddy has to go to Tulsa for work today to make me some money. Have a safe trip Daddy! Mommy and I can't wait to see you tonight!

Livin in luxury!

Here I am sportin my SUPER soft and fluffy cloth dipes! I love them! I am so fashionable, even under my clothes!! I have several colors, but my favorite is my lime green because it looks like a froggie!

Umm..Cereal..Ahhh!

What's this stuff...it tastes good and it's warm but I'm not sure what it is! Oh...Mommy says its cereal. I really like it..I think I'll open my mouth for more! (P.S.~Daddy took this picture of me & this is my very 1st bite of solid foods!)

OUCHHHH!

OUCHHHH! What was that! Oh NOOO...not another one. Well, no one told me that I since I was feeling better I had to have 2 shots and some awful medicine in my mouth! Yuck..at least I got 2 cool pink camouflage bandaids on my legs to show for it! I am still happy about that, so I asked Mommy if she would take a picture of me showing off my cool bandaids!

Yummm...Bubblegum!

Here I am having my first tastes of medicine! I really make a mess on my face since I am learning how to taste things other than breastmilk. I really like it though because it tastes like bubblegum. Mommy likes it because it makes me feel better and it is supposed to help the pain in my ears! Mommy thinks I am SOOOO cute! I don't really know what the fuss is all about though.

My Doctor

Mommy says I have to go to see the Dr. today. He is supposed to look in my ears again and make sure my double ear infection is gone now. I am feeling better now, so if he thinks I am okay today, I will get to the okay to try cereal now and then Jamie (Dr.'s nurse) will stick me in the leg with something sharp. Daddy is going to meet Mommy and I up at the Dr so that will make my shots a little less painful. I like it when I can see my Daddy!

This is one of the first pictures of me smiling with the camera on. I am about 8 weeks old here. I really do like to play games and keep my smiles for after the picture is taken! Oh..and for some strange reason, Mommy really liked this outfit with ducks on it. She was really sad when I couldn't wear it anymore. CraZy Mommy!

Thank goodness!

Ahhhh...warmth! I love being snuggled after my bath, but I don't like getting out of the water. I think I would still rather be splashing around than having Papa take this picture right now!

Bath Time? Are you for real?

Mommy and Aunt Rachel insisted I take a bath with my 9 month old cousin Paige when we all went to Rolla, Missouri for Mommy's grandma's funeral. We stayed at a neat hotel...Daddy called it the "Hampton Inn". We got snowed in on the third day of our trip so that's why I got stuck taking a bath with my cousin. Everyone thought we were really cute, but I didn't understand why Paige hit me on the head when I was just minding my own business and smiling at everyone. I guess she is still learning how to control her arms and stuff, but I wish she would quit picking on me! I'll get her back soon enough!

My "Skinny" Kitty

Here is my kitty cat. Her name is Enya. She is 13 years old now and has some thing that makes her really skinny. Mommy calls it "hyperthyroidism". That's a big word for a little person like me. All I know is that she is always hungry and she meows alot. I think she is funny!

My doggies

These are my craZy doggies! Chyna is the 130 lb English Mastiff and Nala is the white/red 14 year old Brittany Spaniel. Mommy is always yelling at them because Chyna likes to jump into her garden and sleep on the furniture, and Nala likes to eat "Kitty Roca" and bark a lot. I use to hear mom yelling at them when I was in her tummy and wonder why she did that, but now I know! I still love them and I think they are fun to watch and play with. Actually, Chyna likes to sleep in my room with me, so that's fun too!

Mom...Can't you see I'm busy!

Here I am with Mommy on Easter morning. I am trying to look at all my neat toys that the Easter bunny left for me, but she insists on getting a picture of us. I think it's funny that they want me to smile for them when Daddy is taking the picture, but I smile right after he takes the picture! Ha..Ha..I like to play games!

Hippity Hop...

I don't know what this Easter bunny thing is all about, but the "thing with long ears"has left Mom and Dad excited. Maybe I should figure out what this bunny did to make Mom and Dad so weird...COOL...The Easter bunny left me a TV remote control toy, rattle, bib, spoons, and bowls! I think the bunny knew I was about to start cereal soon and I needed those things to eat with. Maybe Mom or Dad has an "IN" with the bunny and told him, or maybe the bunny can read my mind. Whoa..wait..naw..that can't be! Either way, I can't wait for it to visit me next year!
